Qualifications

Hypnotherapist

I am a fully qualified and insured Hypnotherapist; I trained with the world renowned and highly regarded UK Hypnosis Academy with whom I am now an Associated Trainer. I am also trained as a practitioner and Associated Trainer in the Kinetic Shift technique which is Active, Intuitive, Dynamic and Highly Effective.

Kinetic Shift is a rapid method combining several different techniques to resolve Fears, Phobias, Anxiety, and Weight Loss, Smoking and even PTSD and much more. We all know that we can’t express everything we want to verbally, so we use several other methods of communication and that is key to Kinetic Shift.

Here are just some of the things Hypnotherapy can help with:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Post Trauma

  • Stress

  • Fears & Phobias

  • Confidence and low self-esteem

  • Smoking and weight control

Hypnosis can be done content free, can be fun and it is life changing, it is an experience you’ll never forget.

EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitisation and Reprocessing)

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, is a psychotherapy treatment that helps individuals process and reduce the emotional distress associated with traumatic memories, often used for PTSD, by combining recalling the trauma with bilateral stimulation like eye movements.

  • What it aims to achieve:

  • The goal of EMDR is to help individuals process traumatic memories, reduce their emotional intensity, and improve their overall mental health and well-being.

  • Who it's for:

EMDR is often used to treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related conditions, and it can also be beneficial for individuals with other mental health concerns, such as anxiety and depression.

  • Recognised by:

EMDR therapy is recognised as an effective treatment for trauma and PTSD by organizations like the American Psychiatric Association (APA), the World Health Organisation (WHO), and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

  • Not a form of hypnosis:

EMDR is not a form of hypnosis, and it does not involve inducing a trance-like state.

  • What it is:

EMDR is a structured form of psychotherapy that helps individuals process and resolve upsetting memories and the associated emotional distress.

  • How it works:

During an EMDR session, a therapist guides the patient through a series of standardized procedures, including recalling the traumatic event while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as making side-to-side eye movements, or using other forms of rhythmic left-right stimulation like tapping or listening to alternating tones.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapist)

I am also a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) which is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave.

It's most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems.
